The short version
The FTC alleged that Automators AI sold e-commerce coaching and "AI-powered" online stores with the promise that buyers could make money with little to no effort. It sued in federal court in August 2023. The case is FTC v. Automators LLC et al., S.D. Cal. No. 3:23-cv-01444.
What the court did
- August 2023: the FTC filed its complaint and a temporary restraining order followed within days.
- 26 February 2024: stipulated orders set a judgment of $21,765,902.65, about $21.8 million.
- Part of it was suspended. The suspension rests on the defendants' inability to pay, and they surrendered assets, including bank and cryptocurrency accounts. The full amount was not collected.
- The ban: the companies and two of their owners are permanently banned from selling e-commerce business opportunities and coaching.
- The pitch itself: the order also bars the kind of earnings claims the FTC pointed to, such as promising income with "little to no effort" or that AI will "maximize revenues".
What this does not mean
The defendants neither admitted nor denied the allegations. That is the standard wording of a stipulated FTC order, so this was a settlement, not a finding after a trial. The $21.8 million figure is the judgment, not the amount paid. Other companies named in the case are not covered by the ban, and the video does not say they are.
We checked the public record when we wrote this. The federal record we could reach shows nothing after 26 February 2024, but we could not open the full docket, so we will update this page if a later order appears.

Transcript
The FTC says this side hustle promised that AI would make you money... with almost no effort. It was called Automators AI. In 2023, the FTC took it to federal court. February 2024: a court order, and a $21.8 million judgment. Part of it was suspended after they handed over their assets: bank accounts, crypto wallets. They didn't admit it. They didn't deny it. The company and two of its operators are banned for good from selling e-commerce coaching. The order bans two promises: that buyers will earn with little to no effort... and that AI will maximize revenues. AI money for no effort? You know how this one ends. Busted.
